Yes I've flattened it and yes it's in 8 bit mode. I'm stumped. Ugh. Tina, thanks for the suggestion on the web site...I'll research that and meantime I'll keep at the LAB mode to see if I can figure out a work-around. Meantime, any other suggestions are greatly appreciated. For conventional jpg, you need to be in 8bits mode. And then Jpg doens't accept layers, you have to flatten the picture first.
