No. It needs to be glued on some sort of backing paper. In the US, stores
sell
pre-cut paper specially for this purpose.
All of the postcards I have sent have been just photo paper...no backing,
just drew a line down the middle, addressed, stuck on a stamp and away it
went...don't recall anyone saying they were damaged.
