Gregory,

Is your lens a "real macro" or an "erzatz" closer focussing so-called macro
lens... ie will it provide you with (at least a 1:2 magnification)??

Generally, tele-converters degrade image quality to varying degrees..
(unless you have the really expensive ones to match your Leitz lenses)

However, if you are wanting "real" macro ie > 1:1, may I suggest you attach
a short focal length (24 or 28mm) "reversed" mounted to the front of your
105 macro (or any other longer lens) by way of a male/male threaded ring.
