The article is interesting, a fear I've had for some years now. I grew up in
the venue of photojournalism, at one time the only thing I thought about or
live for.

A point not discussed in the article is the affect on the photographers
themselves. Those who lived, still tell their tales. Those who were there
help others live that moment albeit a bit vicariously.

Read Shooting War by Susan Moeller, Unreasonable Behavior by Don McCullan
and look at the photographs of Don McCullan in his book, Sleeping With
Ghosts.

Images may de-sensitize the viewer, but the stories I can tell you, will
make your eyes water.

Take care,
Gregory david Stempel
