"If you are shooting negative film you are ok because of the latitude. If you were shooting slide film then you probably have a big problem." o.k. Whew...I was shooting negative film...as I said earlier, batteries were new, because this IS one of those cameras that really messes up if the batteries are even remotely low, therefore, when I shoot a wedding or something equally important, I always load new batteries. The sun was behind me, so the light was harsh, but there were not many options as far as where to shoot, turning the subjects around (the sun to their backs) put the sun directly to the lens. No areas of shade large enough to hold entire wedding party etc... You said that if the sun hits the eyepiece it could cause a problem? In order to look at the LED screen (on top of the camera) I had to take it away from my face, but that still doesn't tell why it would lock up with the camera to my face. I will try the exposure comp next time, and this time be thankful that I shot with negative film! Should be getting them back soon, hoping for the best! Thanks for all your help.
