well there are so many things i've goit to tell you...
(not that i am an expert)

did you notice a question on light metering i posed on PF a month+ ago?
that was the key to that greying of the background in your photo. just a
strong spotlight in your frame and ttl metering brings the exposure to
midway, giving you a black background...should have metered on the persons
or stoped down some stops....

i feel getting a black background is more importand than face detail in a
rock/country concert (do not expect the musicians to have presentable faces,
most of the time their eyes are closed).

i still get such photos and i correct them as follows:
lower gamma to get an acceptable background, then play a bit with contrast.
you can also work with the primary spot light (yellow/green in that
particular photo) and then with the second spot (blue) - (most of the times
there are 2 spots in each persons, just the main and fill light idea)

but, could you have stepped a bit to the left to get a better angle?
but i do like the wide clear framing, personally i tend to tight framing too
much...

also, why don't you cut bits from the area around that bright spot at far
right, and paste them on top of it? i alkways do this since there are too
much fuss (for the eye) in a concert photo.

generally, what did you felt while taking the shots? the urge to catch every
single moment of the concert, creating a stop carre story of the show, or
were you *literally* sniping good shots out of the whole affair?
i photograph only shows of favorite bands, so i rarely resist the urge to
shoot and shoot, but...
1. you tend to loose a big piece of the fun, gaining some in photographic
terms,
2. the best photos technically, and artistically for me, were the
calculated, and patientlly waited for, ones...

to wrap things up, figure out what you wish,
my next concert the camera will be resting home...kostas
