Chapter 5, Section II, #50:
a. If complete destruction of the camera set cannot
be accomplished in the time available, destroy the components in the following
order:
(1) Camera.
(2) Flashgun.
(3) Sidelight.
(4) Tripod.
(5) Carrying case.
(6) All others components.
b. Use any of the following methods:
(1) Smash. Smash all optical and metal components;
use sledges, axes, handaxes, pickaxes, hammers or crowbars.
(2) Cut. Cut extension and connecting cords,
leather strap, focusing cloth and film; use axes, handaxes or
matches.
WARNING: Be extremely careful with explosives and
incendiary devices. Use these items only when the need is urgent.
(3) Burn. Burn film, cords, leather strap and
technical manuals; use gasoline, kerosene, oil, flame-throwers or incendiary
grenades.
(4) Bend. Bend tripod legs.
(5) Explode. If explosives are necessary, use
firearms, grenades or TNT.
(6) Dispose. Bury or scatter the destroyed parts in
slit trenches, foxholes or throw them into streams.
