When I upgraded to Kubuntu 7.10 I opted to install
8.3 rather than stick with 8.2. I knew to dump my 8.2 files first.
After I finished
installing, I got (and still get) a message that I should have an 8.3.0-client.
I don't see any separate downloads listed so assume it's in the standard
package. Is there a step I might have missed?
