I have updated the wording from

  "ORDER BY on a UNION/INTERSECT/EXCEPT result must be on one of the result columns")));

to:

  "ORDER BY on a UNION/INTERSECT/EXCEPT result must match existing result columns")));

The 'match' wording might help, rather then 'use'.
