-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 >> Wikipedia commons only allow images licensed as Public Domain or GPL. For the record, this is for the commons - there are exceptions for things like logos and such for the main wikipedia section. > Removing the "name" from the Logo would be more appropriate, as PeterE > points out in another note ... as for the logo itself, its Public Domain > (nothing we do is GPL) ... Good to know. I created a new version without the name, uploaded it, and put it on the page. Can we possibly put all the PG images on one page (the "propoganda" one no longer has the main image, for example) and clearly state somewhere that they are all (or which ones are) public domain? I'll be happy to add things to the commons once I have a URL to point people to as proof of public domain status. - -- Greg Sabino Mullane greg@xxxxxxxxxxxx PGP Key: 0x14964AC8 200511131311 http://biglumber.com/x/web?pk=2529DF6AB8F79407E94445B4BC9B906714964AC8 -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iD8DBQFDd4IOvJuQZxSWSsgRAg3wAKCpZQiq3upPPLE/gdr+dE5BPOjk4gCgy2pM NC6/QBqbwVJW777SdnH0VB4= =OcM6 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ---------------------------(end of broadcast)--------------------------- TIP 1: if posting/reading through Usenet, please send an appropriate subscribe-nomail command to majordomo@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx so that your message can get through to the mailing list cleanly
