MySQL AB wants to make money by selling non-GPL versions of MySQL. They can certainly dual-license MySQL itself, because they own it outright, but they could not ship InnoDB as part of a non-GPL-license MySQL sale without InnoDB's (and now Oracle's) permission. So they've got a financial problem with this. regards, tom lane ---------------------------(end of broadcast)--------------------------- TIP 1: if posting/reading through Usenet, please send an appropriate subscribe-nomail command to majordomo@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx so that your message can get through to the mailing list cleanly
