Try this first:

rpm -qa|grep -i postgresql

and see what the output is.  Then you can try this:

rpm -e `rpm -qa|grep -i postgresql`

and see if that can uninstall it.

Make sure and run pg_dumpall to get a complete backup of your database
first.
