About PostgreSQL Memory Usage

Hello,

 

I have a database running on PostgreSQL 14. work_mem and temp_buffers are set to 8 MB.

 

However, I observe a memory allocation of around 100 MB on idle connections. I could not find any clear information about the source of this memory allocation.

 

I would be very grateful if you could help me with this.
