Hi all,

I have a server with 4 x Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5640  @ 2.67GHz and * 12 GB*
of memory.
*

There will be hosted ~100 databases with lot of reads and some writing.

My postgresql.conf is:*

listen_addresses = '*'
max_connections = 300

shared_buffers = 3072MB

work_mem = 72MB
maintenance_work_mem = 704MB
synchronous_commit = off

wal_buffers = 8MB

checkpoint_segments = 16
checkpoint_completion_target = 0.9
effective_cache_size = 8GB

default_statistics_target = 50
constraint_exclusion = on

Is this good configuration?

Thanks
