I reinstalled the postgresql and got this error

 * Starting PostgreSQL 8.4 database server                                

   * Insecure directory in $ENV{PATH} while running with -T switch at /usr/bin/pg_ctlcluster line 63.

Anything in /var/log/postgresql/postgresql-8.4-main.log ?
