Imagine your 3ware card was ok, but the driver has the problem. How are you gonna show up in the FreeBSD-* mailing list when you are still on 6.2? BTW, when you make the final transition to 8.2, DO NOT upgrade in place, make a new system and migrate the data. Or just upgrade system in place but pkg_deinstall all your ports before the upgrade. portupgrade will not make it through. > failures have their chances to happen.
