Umm, the point *was* about single stream performance. I guess you did a good job of proving it.
Anyone who thinks they have a single-threaded workload has not yet encountered the autovacuum daemon.
On tables where my single stream performance matters you'd better believe that the autovacuum daemon isn't running.
