Senior Engineering Database Technical Lead
The role requires a highly skilled and experienced software engineer and database expert. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting and improving our product’s database systems and ensure the database infrastructure is robust, efficient, and scalable. As a technical lead you will provide mentorship to the team and guide the development of the team’s skills and subject matter expertise.
Job Description
• Drive the Broadcom VMware virtualization platform forward with focus on vCenter database and data persistence
• Proven experience as a PostgreSQL Database Developer/Administrator
• Strong knowledge of database design, indexing, and high-performance data concepts.
• Proficiency in SQL and database scripting languages.
• Ability to generate DB tools
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to multiple teams
• Act as technical lead for features in the data persistence area
• Contribute to software design, development, testing, and documentation
• Address customer or internally reported issues in the area of responsibility
• Collaborate in a large, geographically distributed environment
• Bachelor Degree and 12+ years of related experience OR
• Master Degree and 10+ years of related experience
• Minimum 5 years C++ experience
• Experience in one or more scripting languages
• Expertise in deploying and managing containerized applications with Kubernetes
• Ability to work on-site in Palo ALto, CA
Must have legal authorization to work in the US
Compensation and Benefits
The annual base salary range for this position is $141,000 - $225,000.
This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
