Title: PostgreSQL DBA
Duration: Permanent
Location: REMOTE
Day-to-Day
production operational tasks, database administration,
architecture, and automation of database services &
solutions.
What
we are looking for:
- 5+ years of experience in PostgreSQL administration (on prem and cloud)
- Strong backup and restore (pg_dump, physical backup tools) experience.
- Strong database performance tuning.
- Strong SQL Query tuning and development experience.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Solid experience with Postgres PL/pgSQL.
- Replication and failover experience.
- User and object permission management.
- Postgres versions 9.6, 10, 11+.
- Linux command-line operating system experience (Centos/RHEL 7/8 preferred).
- Linux software install and configuration.
- Scripting and task automation (Bash, Python, Git).
It
would be an advantage for you to have:
- Experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), including cloud DB technologies (RDS, Aurora).
- Experience with Patroni high availability.
- Networking as related to database (Linux iptables, DNS, load balancers).
