We're now looking for the next generation of development talent who are ready to commit to a long term program of mentoring and personal development.
You will be expected to contribute to open source PostgreSQL as well as other open source projects balanced with time spent on closed source projects, and with customers. You must be willing to test, document, and support your code, as well as accept review comments. We expect you will seek to improve your development technique as well as your understanding of the context of customer use cases. You will be mentored by PostgreSQL Committers.
We prefer that you hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, but we do require that you have at least 5 years professional experience which must include both solid database experience and multiple development projects in C, C++ or golang.
You will be able to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing, and should have sound analytical skills to solve complex problems. Previous experience with database internals, or with PostgreSQL, is a plus. Prior work experience with a globally distributed team is also a plus. Willingness to learn, a flexibility to adapt with a strong work ethic.
