Postgresql DBA in San Francisco, CA paying $200k base

Hi all,

First time posting on the distro, used postgresql.org wiki as a reference.

I am working with an AI & data quality company that is looking for a Postgresql DBA to join and support their infrastructure team. In this role, you will collaborate with the infrastructure team on a new Postgres implementation. You’ll be in charge of the design and architecture as well as the monitoring the availability and stability of the database environment.

This is a full time permanent role that is temporarily remote due to shelter in place but will be onsite in the San Francisco, CA office once it is safe to do so. This position cannot offer relocation assistance at this time.

Required Skills & Experience

• 4+ years supporting Postgresql in production
• Strong AWS knowledge and experience
• Strong Linux or Unix system administration
• Previous experience with database architecture, design, backup & recovery, and tuning etc.
• Familiarity with scripting (Bash/Python)

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience with Kafka and Redis a huge plus
• Experience with container technology (Docker/Kuberentes) a plus

• PostgreSQL architecture, design, tuning, and maintaining
