Zalando is looking for a Junior Database Engineer - PostgreSQL to join us on permanent basis in Berlin, Germany.
In this role you'll act as a connector between our data teams and the rest of our diverse engineering department. You will lead the building of state-of-the-art technologies to create high-performance data processing solutions that scale. You will challenge our status quo and help us define best practices for how we work. You will have the freedom to contribute to Zalando open source projects and build an internal community around your interests — all while receiving meaningful support at every step. Please note that this vacancy is permanent and requires relocation to Berlin. We provide a relocation package which includes reimbursement for the flights and shipping costs, initial 1 month accommodation and personalised relocation advisor help for 6 weeks, as well as visa/work permit assistance. Interviews can be done virtually.
There are roughly 100 different nationalities at Zalando today and thus, our common language is English, so you don't need to know German.
