Rotamap provides software as a service to manage staff resources in the UK's National Health Service and we work with over half of the country's acute hospitals. We are also starting to work with hospitals in other countries. We are passionate about helping clinical departments improve how they coordinate their staff through our services CLWRota, for anaesthetics departments (see www.clwrota.com), and Medirota, for surgical and medical departments (see www.medirota.com). We are looking for a PostgreSQL database developer to join our team of just over 20 people, possibly on a part-time basis. Thorough expertise is required in working with PL/pgSQL, complex queries and techniques such as custom types and the use of CTEs. Experience of working on the Linux command line is required as is some knowledge of database maintenance, while some familiarity with Python or PHP would be useful. Interest in working with our team and clients to develop innovative data models is vital. The salary starts at GBP 45k FTE per annum depending on experience and we have good holiday and pension arrangements.
