After spending the past 2 years working in a Wordpress/MySQL shop, I am looking for my next challenge back in the PostgreSQL realm. I have been working with PostgreSQL since 1995, both as a member of the open source community, as well as commercially. My last large project involving PostgreSQL was working with a Start Up to develop a Student Information System from the ground up. The interface was written in Java, and in order to reduce the recompile and deployment of the interface to deal with changes to the database schema while developing, we made use of pl/PgSQL to embed business logic into the database itself. I am currently located in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, and optimally would like to find a role with a company where remote / telecommuting is an option. Between my time work with the PostgreSQL Project, as well as spending the past 2 years working for a company out of Hong Kong, I have grown quite comfortable with using email and Skype, among other communication mediums, to produce results for others.
