Job description: Alpha Networks is accelerating its growth and therefore looking for a Database Administrator. You will be working within the Operations Department. Your job will be divided in different parts: * Maintain database performance by identifying and resolving production and application development problems * Optimize database access and allocates/re-allocates database resources for optimum configuration, database performance, and cost * Develop, design and execute back-up and recovery procedures * Define database security rules * Participate to evolution of database design with R&D team * Audits user activity to ensure integrity and performance of the database * Provide aggregated data for reporting purpose (KPI’s, database exports,..) * Analyse and help to solve complex issue on production database * Participate in product design reviews and recommends design improvements or corrections * Identify opportunities to improve current processes, and communicates suggestions for improvement * Document database model * Report to Operations Director * You will be in contact with telecom specialized technologies. You will be part of a young and dynamic team deploying important projects for international clients and local clients. Skills and experience: You will be trained to acquire a deep understanding of the Alpha Networks solution. This will be a continuous and regular training during your employment at Alpha Networks. Team spirit is an essential part of the role however you will be tasked with important roles and functions. We are a small company and we need people who can think and respond independently with strong analytical skills. Minimum Qualifications : * Computer Science degree (BSc. Or above) with a specialization in DB systems * Deep understanding and knowledge of PostgreSQL Database Management System (DBMS) * Holding a certificate in TMAP and / or a certificate in ISTAB in a plus * Deep understanding of DB architecture * Skills in the following languages is a plus: PhP, Python Candidates must be comfortable with English, both written and spoken.
