Sr. PostgreSQL DBA Reports to the Database Administrator Manager Our Database Administration team: A diverse team of individuals at various levels of expertise ranging from 2 to 15 years with Postgres and there are a few other Pg veterans elsewhere in the company for a combined total of at least 30 years Pg experience. Why do we want you?... This successful 10 year old company and its database systems are still growing and we need your help to manage the 100+ node/50TB/bazillion TPS environment. This is a near 100% Postgres shop tainted only by a few MS-SQL server instances that we were force to adopt due to 3rd party software that wouldn't connect to Postgres. Sad... You will bring to the table a wizardry in managing large environments using expert level skill in Pg/SQL/Bash/Python... etc. The host platform is a farm of monster Debian Linux machines which are well run by our awesome system engineering staff but your substantial experience in such a runtime environment will reduce our dependence on them during most situations.
