My client is a world-leading Telecoms company that is looking to expand their Big Data & Databases team. Based at their European Research Centre in Munich, Germany.
They are looking for senior developers, the positions are unique in the European hi-tech scene as they offer an opportunity for performing research and development in the systems domain in a corporate setup, while creating a new and vibrant

Your Responsibilities:
§
Conducting dialogues with customers, collecting business and technical requirements
§
Research towards conception followed by architecture, design, prototyping, and development
§
Analyze industry trends and evaluate technical
risk of proposed designs and plans
§
Preparation and presentation of project proposals and plans
§
Close collaboration with, steering, coordination and technical leadership of R&D groups
§
Filing invention disclosure applications and authoring research and white papers
Our Requirements:
§
Master or higher degree in computer science, software architectures or equivalents
§
5+ years work (R&D) experience of software development, proven experience with databases, SQL, distributed systems or compilers
§
Excellent c/c++ programming skills under Linux environment; Good java programming skills is a plus
§
Familiarity with DB systems e.g., MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, NoSQL DBMSs or Hadoop platform
§
Proven sound knowledge of core computer science principles of database systems, operating systems, networking, performance evaluation, distributed and
parallel systems and compilers; Knowledge of modern CPU architecture is a plus
§
Ability to work in an international team of professionals
§
Ability to lead small teams
§
Self-motivation, self-organization, independence, curiosity, thoroughness, creativity, innovation, hands-on and can-do attitude
§
Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; Knowing German and/or Chinese is a plus
§
Worldwide short-term travels are required; Experience with Asian business culture is a plus

Relocation packages available, up to 30 days holiday, bonus of 10% for the first 2months.
Salary: €70,000 - €120,000 [negotiable depending on experience]
