We are looking for an experienced PostgreSQL DBA that can build operational support tools and procedures for a fast growing multi-data
center cloud platform.
·
This position requires a mix of architectural, implementation, and support skills.
Responsibilities
·
Support PostgreSQL databases in staging and production environments.
·
Capacity planning of relational databases.
·
Monitoring and tuning of databases in various environments.
·
Provide database subject matter expertise to application development teams.
·
Troubleshoot performance issues in various environments, including development, test, staging and production environments.
·
Implement processes and procedures to improve the stability of the database environments.
·
Design and implement backup and recovery strategies.
·
On-call support responsibilities for production environments.
Qualifications
·
5+ years’ experience managing databases in a 24x7 service platform (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
·
Specific database technologies – PostgreSQL.
·
Linux scripting.
·
Strong SQL.
·
SQL Query optimization by examining query plans.
·
