Fujitsu Australia is seeking a fulltime PostgreSQL DBA to be based at their Sydney offices in Australia.
Relocation assistance will be provided for the right candidate. The selected candidate will provide PostgreSQL support and services for various clients of Fujitsu. To be successful in this position you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and capabilities: - Build, Deploy, Configure and Maintain PostgreSQL database deployments. - Provide customers with clear, detailed and high value solutions. - Design deployment, backup and replication scenarios - Propose and implement high availability solutions - Migrate databases from other RDBMS to PostgreSQL Technical Requirements * At least 4 years experience as a PostgreSQL DBA or Consultant. * Strong working knowledge of SQL and pl/pgsql * Strong experience with backup and replication solutions such as Streaming Replication and Slony * Experience with tools such as PgBouncer, Nagios etc. * Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * The candidate should be accountable, self-starter and genuinely interested in all aspects of production DBA work. * Significant experience in other RDBMS will be a huge advantage If you are interested in this opportunity and satisfy the requirements above, please forward your resume to arulshaji(at)hotmail(dot)com |
