Triobet IT department in Tallinn, Estonia needs a professional PostgreSQL DBA A database administrator is responsible for design, implementation, maintenance and tuning of our databases. Key objectives & responsibilities of the role · Set up, manage and document PostgreSQL database servers · Set up, manage and document database backups and replication · Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve production and development issues · Update and tune production and development database servers · Optimize existing schemas and SQL queries · Help software developers with schema changes and SQL queries · Hardware sizing for new database servers Essential technical skills & experience relevant to the role · 2+ years experience as DBA of high-volume mission critical PostgreSQL databases · Ability to tune SQL queries and design solutions for performance and scalability · Excellent problem solving, collaboration and communication skills Desirable technical skills & experience relevant to the role · Experience in database design and development supporting high-performance, database-driven web applications · Proficiency with Linux at systems administrator level · Proficiency with scripting languages (shell, python) Good English in spoken and written is a must!
