Hello All,
    Our company www.inmobi.com is looking for a fulltime PostgreSQL/EnterpriseDB DBA in Bangalore, India or San Mateo,
CA.

Below is the Job Description:


Job Responsibilities
  • Building new database servers and systems
  • Administer production, and pre-production PostgreSQL databases.
  • Perform database tuning and performance monitoring.
  • Ensure and verify that backups are performed regularly on all databases through automation.
  • Strong SQL query writing and optimization skills, including stored procedures, functions, triggers etc
  • Implement database replication across LAN and WAN.
  • Work as part of a team and be in on-call rotation.
  • Perform general technical troubleshooting and educate developers about best practices.
  • Evaluate and redesign database architecture from BCP and Scalability perspective.

Requirements
    * At least 3-5 years of production, HA, scalable RDBMS Administration experience.
    * Any scripting(shell,perl or python) experience.
    * Applied knowledge of DBA best practices and concepts.
    * Strong problem solving skills
    * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    * The candidate should be accountable, self-starter, genuinely interested in all the aspects of production DBA work.

Preferred

    * Experience with PostgreSQL/EnterpriseDB and DataWarehousing is a big plus
    * If no PostgreSQL experience available, qualified candidate must possess production experience in any major open source RDBMSs, preferably MySQL.
