www.inmobi.com is looking for a fulltime PostgreSQL/EnterpriseDB DBA in Bangalore, India.
Below is the Job Description:
Job Responsibilities
* Administer production, and pre-production PostgreSQL databases.
* Perform database tuning and performance monitoring.
* Ensure that backups are performed regularly on all databases.
* Strong SQL query writing and optimization skills, including stored procedures
* Building new database servers and systems
* Implementing and maintaining database replication systems.
* Work as part of a team and be on-call rotation.
* Perform general technical troubleshooting and give consultation to developers
Requirements
* At least 3-5 years of production, HA, scalable RDBMS Administration experience.
* Any scripting(shell,perl or python) experience.
* Applied knowledge of DBA best practices and concepts.
* Strong problem solving skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* The candidate should be accountable, self-starter, genuinely interested in all the aspects of production DBA work.
Preferred
* Experience with PostgreSQL/EnterpriseDB and DataWarehousing is a big plus
* If no PostgreSQL experience available, qualified candidate must possess production experience in any major open source RDBMSs, preferably MySQL.
