PostgreSQL DBA/Deployment engineer, Greater Seattle Area, no Relo | 80k
 
This position is with an exciting mature start-up in the Greater Seattle Area. They work on digitzing all the information pertaining to a car's performance and displaying it to consumers via 3 channels: pc/web, mobile (with all the leading platforms), and the  car's dashboard.  On top of that will be another layer of integrated location based services that makes driving a more safe, enjoyable and efficient activity.
 
This position is only for American Citizens and green card holders local to the Greater Seattle Area.
 
You are a motivated DBA who has worked in a high volume production environment support role.  You primarily know PostgreSQL but knowledge in other databases such as Orace and MS SQL are desired as well. You enjoy working in a start-up environment and clearly and assertively communicate your view to management and your co-workers. 
 

Requirements:
*  Experience in a senior DBA role, with attention to
 *  Replication/backup and restore from same
 *  DB tuning and configuration management
*  Postgres and/or Mysql experience
*  Experience with deployment engineering
 *  Deployment to live systems with no downtime
 *  Experience with configurable deployment; that is, deploying from one code-base to multiple targets
*  Subversion experience
*  Ant scripting


Also-good:
*  Experience with Maven-based build systems, especially when coupled with Eclipse integration
*  Experience with continuous integration
*  Experience with EC2 environments
*  Experience with Resin application server
