The AWS Certified Database specialist certification (DBS-C01) is going away. I was notified I will not be able to renew mine after it expires in 2 years.
Email from AWS:
"As a valued AWS Certified Database – Specialty certification holder, we wanted you to know that this certification will be retiring on April 30, 2024"

Are you referring to Database certification? Only certification RDS has a database implementation Specialist. That should suffice to show to the management.
