Doesn't that provide a CIFS network share that you could then mount..? Or maybe an iSCSI LUN that you could mount to your database server? Seems like having a network mount and then using something which works with that kind of network mount would be a good option (pgbackrest supports CIFS mounts explicitly, I'm not sure about other tools).
