Last week I tried to upgradpostgresql-contrib-9.6e my Debian server.
There was a patch for postgresql-contrib-9.6. The upgrade failed because
postgresql-9.6 was not configured. I searched the web and tried several
solutions (apt-get remove, apt-get install postgres, use the --force
option) but nothing helped. I do not want to do a purge because it is a
production server. This there a way to update this version 9.6 or should
I wait for version 9.7 or 10.0?
Below is some information.
