temporary table space usage

Hi List
I would like to know if I need a dedicated temporary/"temp"  table space 
for a large wharehouse database > 500GB, how is PG sql optimizer using  
internal temp table ( not the user tables/ session tables),  in special 
I  am thinking about the PG 10 which comes with a improve usage of  
parallelism when compiling SQL .
