Hello, The confusion mentioned in the topic is this - I know what the winsock error 10061 means but it happens with PostgeSQL 8.2.4 running on localhost. The 'listen addresses' line is commented out like on almost all pg configurations yet only some machines 'produce' this error and during DB restore most of the time. When we start the server and use our application the error doesn't occur. Log sais only this: 2010-10-04 15:37:14 LOG: could not receive data from client: Unknown winsock error 10061 2010-10-04 15:37:14 LOG: unexpected EOF on client connection 2010-10-04 15:37:31 LOG: received fast shutdown request 2010-10-04 15:37:33 LOG: shutting down 2010-10-04 15:37:33 LOG: database system is shut down 2010-10-04 15:37:33 LOG: logger shutting down -- Åukasz Brodziak II MU Bioinformatyka -- Sent via pgsql-admin mailing list (pgsql-admin@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx) To make changes to your subscription: http://www.postgresql.org/mailpref/pgsql-admin
