how to read bytea column from dblink

Hi,
I try to read bytea column from postgresql db over a dblink in Oracle DB.
But I could not. How can I solve the problem?
In windows environment there is a parameter in odbc driver bytea as LO. I
could not find how to set it on unix odbc.

Versions of products  I Use:

Postgresql 8.3.3 on redhat
Oracle DB : 10.2.0.4 on HP/UX
HSODBC : 10.2.0.4
