strange drop errors

Hi List;

in trying to drop an index I get this:


# drop index sl_pf_fact_tmp11_ep_idx11;
ERROR:  could not open relation with OID 3666815


I even dropped the associated table and still get this error. Likewise  
we cannot create an index with the same name.

Thoughts ?
