password management

Hi,

    I need to manage the passwords in my database.
    My plan is to:
    - control the minimum password size;
    - Disable the user after the 5th wrong try to
connect;
    - check the passwords characters against a
pattern;
    - monitor last connections, in order to disable
users that don´t connect for over a period of time.
    Have anybody this?
