If you have Linux/Unix, you must to find a soft link in your 
"/etc/rc[1-6].d" dir and must to remove them:

kjt:/# cat /etc/inittab | grep default
id:3:initdefault:
   ^^^
kjt:/# ls /etc/rc3.d/ | grep postgres
S20postgresql-my

kjt:/# rm -i /etc/rc3.d/S20postgresql-my
