Well, according to the docs at
http://www.postgresql.org/docs/8.1/interactive/plpython.html
the correct name would be "plpythonu".
As a matter of facts, you can do a
'select tmplname from pg_pltemplate;'
to check wich languages are available.

i have configured python lib
my box is using freebsd 5.0, python 2.4.2, postgresql-8.1.2
