Hi, I had similar situation with a RedHat box, I just compiled postgres 8.0.4 from sources, its really not that difficult. That way I did not have to take the 7.4 offline while I was doing the upgrade, of course I had to change the data dir for 8.0.4. regards, iges. On Tuesday, 6.
