I get the following error when I try to install postpresql 8.0.3 on a Unix Solaris 8 machine.
> ./configure

checking whether NLS is wanted... no
checking for default port number... 5432
checking for gcc... no
checking for cc... cc
checking for C compiler default output... configure: error: C compiler cannot create executables
Should I have a special C compiler other than the one preinstalled?
