You don't mention what application is calling your PAM module, but I
assume it is OpenSSH.  This is not totally trivial, as OpenSSH only
accepts authorization from valid usernames -- i.e., ones which exist
in getpwnam().  There is a patch to work around this but I have only
applied it to older versions of OpenSSH (4.x not 5.x).
