[ANNOUNCEMENT] Linux-PAM 0.99.1.0 BETA release

The Linux-PAM developement team is pleased to announce the BETA 
release 0.99.1.0.

You can download the beta from
ftp://ftp.*.kernel.org/pub/linux/libs/pam/pre/library/BETA/

This snapshot has full autoconf/automake/libtool and
internationalization support. We introduced symbol versioning
for the libpam* interface, deprecated and never implemented 
functions were removed. The pam_pwdb module is now deprecated and 
will be removed with one of the next releases, the pam_radius module
is already removed. There is a much better and maintained version
available from the FreeRADIUS project.

Please test this version and give feedback what does no longer work.

Other big changes are:

* Add translations for cs, de, es, fr, hu, it, ja, nb, pa, pt_BR,
  pt, zh_CN and zh_TW
* libpam: Add pam_prompt,pam_vprompt,pam_error,pam_verror,pam_info
  and pam_vinfo functions for use by modules as extension
* libpam: Add pam_syslog function for unified syslog messages from
  PAM modules
* libpam: Moved functions from pammodutil to libpam
* pam_umask: New module for setting umask from GECOS field, /etc/login.defs
  or /etc/default/login
* pam_echo: New PAM module for message output
