Announcement: pam_bioapi v0.2.0 released: bringing seemless BioAPI support to GNU/Linux

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Greetings,

I am proud to announce the second beta release of pam_bioapi, a library
that adds access to BioAPI-compliant biometric service providers to
Linux-PAM.

This gives scores of existing applications the ability to authenticate
local users using a BioAPI 1.10 compliant verification-mode BSP without
recompilation.

It is available free under the terms of the GNU General Public License.
Please check out the README[0] and download the source[1]. You will, of
course, also need a BioAPI 1.10 compliant framework installed -- I
provide binary packages for Debian GNU/Linux[2].

I am interested to receive any feedback the Linux-pam community has to give.
