Regarding http://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=104997 I'm seeing the same behaviour. Inserting a debug line just before the mkdir call in pam_mkhomedir.c, I get: uid=0,gid=0,euid=0,egid=0,fsuid=505,fsgid=0 This with root suing to a regular user. That fsuid is set in su, for what reason I'm not sure. On the other hand, a regular user suing to another one (500 -> 505) yelds: uid=500,gid=500,euid=0,egid=500,fsuid=505,fsgid=500 So, should pam_mkhomedir try to regain root privileges? _______________________________________________ Pam-list@xxxxxxxxxx https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/pam-list
