Could this behaviour be caused by there being no actual DOMAIN+user account on the linux box?
I have an account called joeuser with a home directory called /home/joeuser, but want to authenticate with domain+joeuser via winbind and an NT 4 server. The error messages in /var/log/messages point to either the user not being valid or the password not being valid. Both are, but the actual home directory is named '/home/joeuser' not '/home/domain+joeuser'.
I'm really at odds with this one.... thanks
